There are two main ways for forming Tungsten Carbide Round Rods, one is extrusion forming, and the other is mold forming. Different molding methods have their own advantages and disadvantages:
The disadvantage of round bar extrusion production is that the production cycle is long. Squeezing small diameter round bars with a diameter of less than 3mm and cutting both ends will waste a certain amount of material. The longer the rods, the worse the straightness of the rod blank. Of course, the issues of straightness and roundness can be improved in the later stage by using cylindrical grinding.



The advantage of the molding pressing is that it can be formed in one go, reducing waste. Rods length Simplify the wire cutting process and eliminate the dry material cycle of the extrusion method. The leadtime can be shortened by 7-10 days.
